The Full Monty

Oct 27 – Nov 19, 2006

Book by Terrence McNally
Music and Lyrics by David Yazbeck
Directed by Jim Neil

Seeing how much their wives enjoy watching male strippers during their “Girls’ Night Out”, unemployed steelworkers in Buffalo, NY come up with a bold way to make some quick cash.  In the process they find renewed self-esteem, the importance of friendship and the ability to have fun.  There is great heart to THE FULL MONTY, and the ultimate themes expressed in the show, about taking charge on one’s life and following one’s dreams, are great lessons for us all.  Nominated for 9 Tony and 11 Drama Desk Awards in 2001, THE FULL MONTY teamed Terrence McNally, the Tony Award winning writer of RAGTIME, with the composer and lyricist David Yazbeck, who won a Drama Desk Award in 2005 for his music in DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS currently running on broadway.
