The Villagers Theatre is accepting submissions for it's 2007-2008 Black Box season for the Zaidi theatre. All types of scripts are welcome for submission, whether they be musical or straight play. It is the goal of the Black Box to present a venue for a wide variety of different genre of theatre: from new plays, to avante garde or controversial scripts that most other theatres would not consider, to scripts with small casts. The black box is a flexible theatre space that can house about 100 patrons. Please consider that the budget for each show is approximately $300, and that is taken into consideration when selecting scripts. If your script is selected for consideration, an interview with the play selection committee will be set up for each director. ALL SCRIPTS MUST BE SUBMITTED BY DECEMBER 31, 2006. DIRECTORS - Villagers Theatre in Somerset is accepting submissions from directors for the 2007-2008 Kidsvill Series to be produced in the Zaidi "Black Box" Theatre.
The Kidsvill Series strives to bring quality entertainment to children of all ages. Directors are asked to submit scripts along with their availability for September 2007 through July 2008. Please note that plays should be no more than an hour in length and should require more imagination than elaborate sets. The goal of this program is to bring smiles to children's faces and to have a lot of fun.
