This musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice uses song to tell the Biblical tale of Joseph, a man betrayed by his jealous brothers, sold into slavery, and jailed. Ultimately, his goodness is rewarded. Joseph is raised to a position of esteem, when his prophesying dream protects a community from a devastating famine and unfathomable despair.
